About the official exam
As per the latest exam format, here are a few pointers that would be good to know before taking the official DVA-C02 exam.
- Total number of questions asked: 65
- Total time allowed: 130 minutes
- Type of questions:
- Multiple choice (one correct response)
- Multiple selections (multiple correct responses)
- Passing score: 720/1000
- How exams are scored
Out of the total 65 questions asked on the DVA-C02 exam, there are 50 questions that will affect your score while 15 questions are unscored questions that do not affect your score. AWS collects information about candidate performance on these unscored questions to evaluate these questions for future use as scored questions. These unscored questions are not identified on the exam. There’s no penalty for guessing. If you choose an incorrect answer, you simply won’t earn the point for that question or part. No points are deducted for incorrect answers.
- When to expect your score
Most AWS Certification exams do not display your pass/fail result at the end of the test. Your detailed exam results will be available within five business days of completing your exam in your AWS Certification Account, under Exam History. If you pass your exam, you may receive your Credly digital badge email notification before your exam results are posted to your AWS Certification Account.
- Exam cost
You need to pay a certain fee while scheduling the AWS Developer Associate exam. The fee for this certification is USD 150 (excluding taxes).
- Exam scheduling
The exam can be taken at home/office (online proctored) or you may choose an Authorized center near you. These options are available at the time of scheduling the exam from the AWS website.

- The idea is to retake each test several times until you are able to score atleast 90% here. There is no limit on how many times you take each test on our platform.
